VRS refuse to cancell bookings despite level 3 lockdown

I am trying to cancell a booking at St Michael's in KZN from 8-15 January 2021 and VRS is refusing. According to them the resort is open. When I called the resort I was advised the pools and some indoor facilities are closed. The beaches are closed. Why go if facilities are unavailable. VRS refuse to cancell bookings since it is not prior to 6 weeks. President advice us not to travel is VRS above the law
