Hello Peter We belong to VRS/LPA vacation club and that gave us an exclusive week next to the Kruger National park. On the 26 of September, after the country moved to level one in the national disaster plan, we were contacted by the club with a proposition and an opportunity to upgrade our plan with them. They did indicate that we had to pay an amount of R7743 rand for the change in contract agreements in return we will receive the following: 1. They purchase our week from us (First week in Feb) 2. They moved our week to a later week in April 3. They precure our week, for they have already secured tourist for our Feb week in 2021 as a result of the lifting on travel ban under the covert restrictions 4. They also informed us that part of this deal we no longer have to pay for our yearly levies for this year 2020 (about two payments) 5. In return we will receive R18 000 within 15 days (two weeks) for our week in Feb, our week will now be in April (hence we had to pay for the contract cost)and we do not have to pay any levies for this year. We clearly stated that we can only agree to this proposal because the R7743 we had to pay we would have to cut from our other payment responsibilities and that would put us in a very bad predicament if we should not receive the promised moneys within two weeks! They ensure us that payment will happen, sadly, this looked like we been **** to and ****med out off money and possible week. Its now two and a half months and numerous calls, messages, and e-mails to our contact person and we are no further than the day they took our money for changing the contract, money we did not have. We been informed that we now must pay the levies before we can receive our money. They also said that we might not receive the R18000 as part of the contract change deal because they now must secure tourist first for that week (that belong to them know) before they will pay their part of the contract over to us. We are unable to speak to any management regarding this.
