My name is Gerda Fourie. I am the stepdaughter of late FJ Wepener, or as you know him "reference number ***". My mother is Susan Fourie-Wepener, his 80-year-old widow. Mr Wepener passed away almost exactly one year ago, on 24 October 2024. He died intestate, and all relevant documentation was sent to Dr MM Msibi from Midvaal Hospital in Vereeniging (your client). However, my mother kept receiving notices for money not paid by Mr Wepener's medical aid. We continuously submitted his death certificate and evidence that he died intestate to Dr Msibi's offices and then later to Genevieve from your office. I am fortunate that my good friend Amorie spoke on my mom's behalf to Genevieve on several occasions. Every time promises are made that the records will be updated, and that the issue is resolved, only for the next threatening sms to be sent to my mother. This morning, 13 October 2025, my depressed, bereaved and suicidal mother received yet another notice for payment. My questions to your company: 1. what part of "he died intestate is unclear? 2. How many times must we submit the same documentation? You describe your staff to be "friendly, experienced and trained" on your website. Yet they can't seem to successfully update a system in a matter of months. I will appreciate it if someone can answer these questions. I'm trying my best to keep my grieving mother from taking her own life and fearing that she will be locked up for this (her exact words: "when will they come and arrest me?"). Every time we manage to get her to start healing, and then you send her another SMS, hurling her back into depression. I understand that it is your job to collect money for your client, but the R1785.52 you *******ly demand from her, is a fortune for this widow, and she does not owe you anything. Shame on you for not updating your system and causing grief to his widow. Shame on you.
