Had the worst experience ever, checked in on Sunday and upon arrival my room was not clean, bed not made, no clean towels, dirt everywhere. I was moved to another room which had no aircon in this Durban weather. I advised the agent that I was not comfortable in the allocated room as it was extremely hot. She then moved me back to the initial room after they had "cleaned" it. Explain to her my frustration and as compensation I was given an extra night being Monday. I was happy with that, spend Sunday night with no further issues. Monday there was no issues, stayed the night and woke up Tuesday morning to find out there is no electricity in the building and no water. Took it upon myself to contact the agent @ 6:30 Tuesday morning to get clarity on the issue as I'm unable to have a proper shower, ironed clothes and go to work. I was advised it is a power outage in the area resulting to water outage as well and no turnaround time was given. Made it known to the agent that I will not be able to check out until I've had a proper shower and ironed clothes further explained how much of an inconvenience this is as I'm unable to attend work. No resolution was given at this point At around 14:00 i received a call from a Michelle Pearce who was extremely rude, accused me of refusing to leave. Explained to her that nowhere did I refuse to leave all I needed was a solution to the problem their building was facing as I have already lost a days work and no resolution has been given. She then said I will have to pay for the additional night, explained to her that it was never my intention to stay another night considering the dissatisfaction I have encountered since my arrival. She advised that her Managing Director will call me, which I agreed on and advised her that my battery will be give up soon since I haven't been able to charge my phone. She laughed and hung up. an hour later my battery gave up. I was stuck in that room the entire day with no water, no electricity an uncleaned room and no solution. At around 19:20 the electricity was restored and the first thing I did was to charge my phone had a shower. At around 19:44 I received a text from the agent that the electricity has been restored and I'm expected to evict the building by 20:30. Seeing that it was already late I request to pay for the night and check out the following day. She advised that I will be expected to pay an amount of R800 for the night, security will be sent to the room to collect the cash, I advised that I do not have cash and will require a speedpoint to make the payment alternatively I can do an EFT. She mentioned that they do not have a speedpoint (red flag) and they do not accept EFT payment(another red flag). She advised to do an ewallet to her number (red flag), advised that I do not bank with FNB, I'm with Capitec. She provided her cellphone number which is linked to Miss Bhengu and advised that I make the payment into that account. I further asked her why am I paying into her personal account, she called me saying "she is already in trouble with management for allowing me to book another night and she is trying to assist me but I'm being difficult" I explained my concerns to her with regards to paying into her personal account however she was not having it. It was either I pay into her account or I leave the premises and at this point its already after 9. I made the payment of R800 into her personal account and sent pop. My entire experience has been terrible, from arrival up to departure. I would never make reservations here even if I'm stranded with nowhere to go. Management is rude and they take no accountability whatsoever.
