False Terms and Conditions

We're visiting Durban in mid-May for our honeymoon, and my fiance has always wanted to do the Dolphin Experience at uShaka. According to the terms and conditions I found online, it clearly states that bookings should not be made more than 3 weeks in advance.

https://www.ushakamarineworld.co.za/ANIMAL_ENCOUNTER_MEET_A_DOLPHIN_PROGRAM_LATEST2015-1_edit.pdf

Therefor I waited until exactly 3 weeks before our planned visit, only to be told that they are fully booked well towards the end of May. And there seems to be no knowledge of the 3 week rule at uShaka itself.

For uShaka it makes no difference, as they are already booked and paid up. But for consumers like us, that actually comply with the terms and conditions, we are, dare I say, ****** of the experience. It does not seem fair that they just pull up their shoulders, laughing all the way to the bank. Doubt that I will visit them now at all during our time there.

Dear Ianmin

Thank you for your feedback, we apologise for your experience at uShaka Marine World. At uShaka Marine World we strive to commit to our guests having an experience that is fun, exciting and receive excellent service.

On investigation we found that the Terms and Conditions had been updated on the desktop version of our website http://www.ushakamarineworld.co.za/images/stories/documents/events_documents/ANIMAL_ENCOUNTER_MEET_A_DOLPHIN_PROGRAM.pdf

But unfortunately because our Desktop and mobile site are two separate sites, the mobile site was overlooked and the terms and conditions there were not updated. The Digital team would like to sincerely apologise for this inconvenience, we are taking this matter very seriously and have recently put in measures to make sure that this does not happen in the future.

We have spoken to the manager of Sea Animal Encounters Island and he informed us that there are a few spaces for Meet a Dolphin still available in mid-May. He asked that you call him directly on *** to see if you can arrange a booking.

Once again we hope that you can accept our utmost sincere apology to you and your fiancé for the oversight.

Have a good day and see you soon at uShaka Marine World.
