Be aware of unwarranted charges
I took in my TV ES7500 to them as it had vertical red and black coloured lines across the screen. I called in after their specified diagnosis turn around time to find out what they had diagnosed for my TV and i was told i have to replace the panel (R12000... I can buy another TV). I told them to not do anything, and i will collect the TV since its properly bust
i then googled and found this post :

[URL Removed]

Which is what my tv is exhibiting now it got me wondering if this is the standard procedure from samsung itself , how did they know that my panel (LED screen) has to be replaced and nothing internally? The *****s at the back of my TV dont even look like they were opened (dusty like when i took it in) l. Surely their diagnositic machine should have told them about an IC problem or something. Since i have nothing to loose (out of warranty) i opened my TV to confirm for myself if indeed it is so and one of the ICs on the TCON board looks blown.

These days the Rand is too precious a resource to be wasted. What was the R300 i paid for if a thorough diagnosis was not done.
