Damaged Kettle

I bought a kettle from this store in July 2015.It recently blew a fuse and because it is still under warranty I took it back to the store, only to be informed that they don't do returns on appliances. I was also advised to buy another kettle as the brand I bought is \junk\". Why should I buy another kettle when all I want is my existing one to be replaced. I was treated as though I purposely burnt the kettle."
