Taking Money in background
<p>I took my wife to UrgentCare in Sonpark in Nelspruit on 7 Nov, I mentioned to them that I would pay the full amount cash on the same day right after seeing the doctor because my medical aid is nearly depleted. They said this is 100% fine.</p> <p> </p> <p>When filling in the documents they requested my medical aid details. I asked why they wanted this since I would be paying the full amount on the same day... I was then told this is just for future reference in case I come back one day and that they would not claim from it. This sounded reasonable so I filled in my medical aid details.</p> <p> </p> <p>When we were done seeing the doctor, I paid the full amount like I said I would. 1-2 days later I see a claim go off on my medical which was very strange for me because I only went to the doctor once at that point in time which was for my wife and that was paid in full on the same day.</p> <p> </p> <p>When I investigated the claim, it turned out to be UrgentCare which claimed from my medical aid. They claimed the FULL amount which I paid on the same day when I was there. My medical aid paid out them, not the full amount since it was nearly depleted but it paid out amount which was left in my savings.</p> <p> </p> <p>I went back to UrgentCare to inquire about this claim they made. They told me they would correct this right away and refund me. I was given a refund form to complete which I filled in and handed to them. I was told I receive the money back shortly which they claimed from the medical aid.</p> <p> </p> <p>It has now been 2 months I still haven't received any of my money back. I went back on the 13th of Dec to find out what the progress was because it was already more than a month at that point. I was then told they would follow-up for me and get back to me right away... I'm still waiting to hear from UrgentCare, I never heard from UrgentCare again after that. I have sent countless mails to UrgentCare and haven't gotten any response at all. I'm being completed ignored by them and I'm now considering taking legal action against them.</p> <p> </p> <p>This all seems extremely suspicious to me, just claiming money from a patient's medical aid even though they owe you nothing and then completely ignoring them after that when they contact you.</p> <p> </p> <p>I highly advise against going to UrgentCare and do NOT give them your medical aid details. If you do end up giving them them your details, please check your statements and the claims that go through on your medical aid</p>
