Bad service

I bought my daughter a Nike 2 piece from them on the 20th that costs R450 from Urbanite in China Town Shoprite Park - Parow

She wore it on Christmas day , only for a few hours as i am very cautious when it comes to her making herself or clothing dirty. I hand washed it to put in the dryer/spinner the next morning. Upon hanging it up i came to realize the printing of the Nike sign had come off & found this odd & to be " **** ". I have bought from other retailers such as sportscene , totalsports & Studio88 where i have worked prior & never had the problem. She has name branded clothing that are over 2-3 years old now & has not spoiled once so why did this happen after only wearing it once & being hand washed.

I proceeded to call the store with the landline provided on the receipt & spoke to a man who was very adamant on me exchanging for something else but i refused cos anything else will spoil aswell seeing as its not original. He then agreed i could get a refund the next day & there would be no problems.

I sent my sister as i am working & my shifts does not allow me to go there myself. She got there the lady at the till point had an attitude with her saying i ironed the shirt thats why it came off. Like i am stupid , i work in retail with name brands where clothing gets steamed , you do not iron on the print. Hence why i hand washed it to be cautious & safe. She went back & forth with my little sister saying her grandchild has the same outfit & hers is fine. Point is they are ****s & selling ****. And to refuse me my money , A WHOLE R450. By all means if it was a R100 item i would have exchanged or maybe even understood but its almost R500 , then she said " EXACTLY NOW I AM LOSING A R450 ". This lady had a whole attitude with my little sister shouting at her aswell but its my consumer right to get a refund as i was not satisfied with the appararel or service. She even phoned the " boss " and told him i ironed it. He then phoned me being rude over the phone asking me to explain what i did with the clothes after we spoke the previous day. She let my sister wait so long and when she asked when can she get the refund she went on saying this is her business and she is gona lose now , my sister told her we will then take matters further & she said my sister is threathening her. So your basic consumer rights is threatening. So you cannot get your own hard worked money back after you know you are selling ****. I am disgusted & ****ed off by the staff & service at URBANITE. Please rather close down & set up a pop up stall in belville then cos thats where you belong. No ettiquette whatsoever or empathy. I wont be setting foot here ever again
