Title: Avoid This Apartment at All Costs: A Review to Protect Future Guests I'm writing this review with a heavy heart, hoping to spare others from the dreadful experience my family and I endured at this apartment. We booked in on April 26th and were forced to check out earlier than planned on the 28th due to the appalling conditions we encountered. Despite our efforts to address the issues with the host, we were met with excuses and deflection of responsibility. The problems we encountered were numerous and unacceptable. The fridge was disgustingly unhygienic, with mold and fungal growth evident inside, emitting a foul odor. The kitchen cupboard was similarly moldy and damp, with rusty hinges and undone fixtures. Utensils and kitchenware were filthy and clearly hadn't been cleaned in ages, with old food residue and stains abound. Even the cups and glasses were scratched and stained. The air conditioner's remote was damaged and unusable, held together by insulation tape. The bathroom was no better, with a stained toilet seat reeking of urine, moldy cupboards, and a rusty, decrepit bin. To add insult to injury, an array of filthy cleaning tools was left behind in plain sight. Attempting to address these issues with the owner proved futile, as he failed to take responsibility or offer any compensation for the inconvenience caused. Additionally, there was no evidence of the apartment being cleaned by any accredited company, as claimed. Please note the name of the owner is Vijay and has other apartments in Central Park and Urban Park. I've taken it upon myself to alert Booking.com and am in the process of contacting the KZN Health Department to inspect the premises. No guest should have to endure such appalling conditions, and I urge others to steer clear of this apartment and any others hosted by this individual.
