Bad Experience
<p>Urban Link Amanzimtoti - Leonard Jonk. Very bad service, in actual fact no service, received from Leonard Jonk at Urban Link Amanzimtoti. Signed one month sole mandate to sell our home. It took over one week from date sole mandate signed to the time any advert and photos were uploaded on Private Property and Property 24, which I had to chase for. Photos that were loaded were then blurred. Had to call to ask them to retake and re-upload photos. Viewing appointments made by Leonard however they were no shows with no courtesy call to notify of a no show. Unable to get hold of anyone at Urban Link Amanzimtoti to discuss and Leornard's cell is off. Fortunately sole mandate has now ended. </p>

24 May 2016, 10:48A sole mandate was signed with this seller of his Illovo Glen property on 18 April 2016.
The property was listed on Private property & Property24 on the same day,18 April 2016.
A reshoot was requested by the Amanzimtoti office on 20 April 2016 as the day the photos were taken the weather was overcast.
The photos was replaced online on 21 April 2016.
A print advert placed with the SUN on 21 April 2016, for publish date 28 April 2016.
Boards: Landlord gave permission for a board which was duly placed.
Showhouses: Permission was not granted as the seller cited security concerns.
Viewings: 6 couples were taken to the property with no result.
The property was unable to sell within 30 days despite the agents best attempt; Illovo Glen is not a popular area due to security.
Leonard had one no pitch client, and omitted to notify landlord, but later made appointment with the landlord and apologized.
The agent Leonard Jonck is well liked by his clients, and gives them excellent service at all times.
Hilda Peel, the business owner for the Urban Link Amanzimtoti office personally called on the Seller to convey their apologies but his response was that he was angry because the property was not sold and that Urban Link is unprofessional and he would make sure to tell all his friends.
It needs to be emphasised that the agency obviously has a vested interested in selling the property, by ensuring the property is marketed to its fullest extent.
It is regrettable that it is not always possible to do so in the allotted timeframe and did not happen in this instance however this need not necessarily preclude the agency from continuing their efforts to market and try to sell the property. Obviously this remains the prerogative of the seller.
It is our view that sufficient marketing and exposure of the property was done as per the sole mandate conditions.
