On 19 February 2015, Phineas, the owner of 'Upholstery Stars' came to our house to give us a quote on doing a new couch slipcover and on reupholstering outdoor furniture. We accepted the quote and he left with the existing slip cover and 12 outdoor cushions. The next day we paid the 60% deposit and we were promised delivery by 25 February 2015. <br> *We didn't hear from him on the delivery date and called on the 26th. He said that they were only then busy cutting the material. <br> * A month later there was still no word. Since then we followed up via numerous phone calls, e-mails and text messages. <br> * We even asked for our deposit and cushions back via phone and e-mail.<br> * In one of the last interactions, we said we were taking the case to the Police and he promised delivery on 9 April 2015.<br> * To this day we haven't received our money, the old slipcover or the existing cushions he took.<br> * The SAPD does not consider this type of ***** as 'theft' (?!) and told us to go to the Small Claims Court, which we are now in the process of doing.<br> DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. You will pay a lot of money for empty promises.
