Rental Cancelled on Handover. Upfront payment of R66,500 not refunded!

Title: Refund Outstanding - R66,500 paid for rental that was cancelled at handover. Review: On 4 March 2026, we paid R66,500 to Univest Property Group for a rental (rent in advance + deposits & fees). The lease relates to Unit 6, Oaklands Estate, Douglasdale. At the handover/inspection on 30 March 2026, numerous issues were identified and the property was not taken into occupation. We gave written notice cancelling under the lease “cooling‑off” clause and requested a full refund, but the refund remains outstanding. What we want: Payment for the full refund of R66,500 and proof of payment.
