No regard for the customer

This was the second time I used Universal signs for the printing of T-shirts. I paid the deposit on 20 January 2017. and provided them with the relevant art work for the T-shirts on that same day. After various issues and e-mails, the artwork was finally sorted out on the 27th of January.

On Friday the 3rd of February I got an e-mail at 15:45 to inform me that the shirts are ready for collection. This is 15 minutes before they close. No phone call to inform me it is ready.

So, I go there on Monday the 5th of February to collect my shirts. Pay the balance and get the shirts. I opened it in the shop (after payment) only to see that the image was printed on the back of the shirt instead of the front. This despite e-mail confirmtion (in addition to the initial order) that the printing should be done on the front of the shirts.

Since the 5th of Febraury, I've contacted the managent on various occasions. They offered to just print the image on the front of these same shrits. Would you buy a shirt with the same image in the front and at the back? This was offered to me twice as if I am unreasonable for not accepting this generous offer.

I have not received a single apology from management for the mistake made, nor have I been offered any incentive or compensation for the inconvenience and possible loss of sales as clients place orders in advance and may cancel due to the long waiting period. I reiterate that Universal signs have been paid in full, depsite their mistake on the 5th of February already.

I made it clear that I need new shirts that is ONLY printed in the front.

I also enquried about the "faulty" shirts as I do not want those shirts to be distributed somehow with my artwork on it. It was simply mentioned to me that I could possibly buy the faulty shirts at a discount. What are they going to do with these shirts in any event? Now I should incur additional costs for their mistake?

Today is the 14th of February and I still do not have any shirts. I was promised that it will be done tomorrow afternoon but this is but one of many promises.

Lastly, I always have to phone them to enquire about progress (with the exeption of 1 phone call during this entier period. During this one call the suggestion was made to simply print on both sides of the shirt).

Unfortunately, a very bad experience and not a company to rely o or to recommend when you are trying to run a business, no matter how big or small.
