Poor Service from Universal Garage Doors and Gate Motors

PLEASE be very careful if doing business with Universal Garage Doors and Gate Motors. We selected them to repair our gate motor. They offer a 24 hour service and came through immediately to repair the motor. They were paid an amount of R2400,00 but they declined to give an invoice that could be submitted to insurance. The gate worked for only one day afterwards then stopped. We contacted Universal Garage Doors every day for 6 weeks requesting an invoice, so we had a guarantee on the work and also requesting that they come back to re-look at the motor which was no longer working. We even visited them personally at their office in Maraisburg, Roodepoort, Johannesburg. They made arrangements, appointments and promises which they never kept. Eventually they stopped taking our calls. After 6 weeks we had to get another company in to repair the gate motor and we had to pay them as well. Universal Garage Doors has refused to refund us, so we have lost all of the R2400,00 we paid them. BEWARE of this company. I cannot recommend them after such poor and dishonest service.
