No Refund For My Access

I had a car accident in December 2015. Like a first timer I probably took things lightly and did not know the process as I was the one who was smashed into by another car. I claimed from my own insurance but now I am fighting to claim the access I had to pay for my car from the other lady's insurance as I cannot afford R11 000.00 for access and I have trusted my own insurance to help me with this. However they don't even call me to inform how far they are with winning the case with the other lady's insurance and I have to be the one calling them each time to follow up regardless them promising to get back to me. It seems like the woman who smashed into me is having a free escape with this situation I guess everyone has a bad experience as a first timer in a car accident but I did not expect these results. I should have been smart from the beginning by telling that woman to claim for 3rd party but I guess it's my loss. This is so disappointing, if only my insurance was willing to fight for this to be sorted out as they would gain their money back and it would be a win win situation.
