Poor Workmanship

Although the measurements of the window pane were taken by Ivan, the owner of the company, they were not correct. The team experienced great difficulty in installing the glass because I have Spanish burglar proofing on the outside of the windows. Ivan advised me that the glass could be installed from the inside which was not correct. The team decided to cut 5 mm off the glass and in order to do so they had to go to Unity's premises to get an Angle Grinder. The glass was inserted sideways between the frame of the window and the Spanish burglar proofing while this glass was being cut without any protection to the glass so naturally the sparks from the angle grinder have burnt the glass. When I spoke to both Fernanda and Ivan they were very rude, offered me R100 as compensation (this job cost R990). I cannot believe that the owner Ivan has had this company for 30 years but apparently knows nothing about glass or even taking the measurement thereof. I believe that I should be compensated for the entire amount of R990 or the glass should be replaced at no cost to myself.
