Hi there,

So I took my phone to Samsung Smart Care over a month and a half ago to get my screen repaired. After being charged an assessment fee of R250 to eventually tell me that my screen did in fact need to be repaired (It was pretty obvious), I was told the repair would take no longer than two weeks after the payment for the part was made. I also found out that it wasn't Samsung itself doing the repair but a smaller company called Unitronics. After around 3 weeks and still no update on my phone I decided to look for Samsung Smart Care on Google reviews. If I had looked at this before taking my phone there I would have never gone in the first place. The page showed a 2 star rating with over 90% of the reviews complaining about Samsungs absolute lack of customer care and how they never answer the phone or respond to emails. I then thought why not look at Unitronics SA on facebook and lone behold the exact same was found there. People complaining about how Unitronics never answered their phones or responded to emails.

Over New years I did not email them because I found out they would resume work on the 6th of January. So on the 6th of January I sent an email to Unitronics asking to recieve on update on my phone. At least 3 to 4 days passed with no response at all. I then messaged Unitronics on Facebook to ask what the he'll was going on. To my disbelief they read my message and still did not reply. When the did reply to my email they fed me lies to keep me from bothering them such as saying "the part is available and will arrive in the next 2 days". That was nearly 2 weeks ago now. I am starting to wonder if I will ever get my phone back at this point.

Nick
