Unitransmotors- Chevcustomercare Poor disappointing frustrating service
I bought a brand new beautiful Chevrolet Cruze at the end of 2015 which was ****ed with an excellent radio system. That beautiful car has become a nightmare since first the 8 months of driving it. Before I took car for service for first service I had no issues but after the 22 July 2016: • I had the service light go on less than 3 weeks later after service. • Took car in to be checked the week of 8 August but the light did not go off. The error was found to be a thermostat housing issue. • Car was booked in the 15th August and got fixed car back few days later. • A week later my wife and I started sensing something wrong because the car raves did sound as normal as before. This increased big time on Saturday 27 August 2016 on Baden Powel just after Khayelistha on my way to Simon’s town that’s when I could not go into any gear. I was stuck there for few minutes but somehow I could go into gear again. I turned back to go home fearing to go on with trip and then car clutch did not work at all when I got to Eerste River where I was towed to Barloworld GM Ferndale in Kulisriver. • It was found to be a clutch issue on Monday. GM refused to help after few days the Ferndale team seeing that in such a short time it cannot be customer fault, assisted to replace the clutch pad. Car worked without issues for a while. • On the 9th of April 2017 (8 months later from last issue on car in August) the car got stuck in Kulisriver area. • I towed the car to Reeds Cape Town as the people who sold me the car. After their checking it was formed to be clutch problem too. Because there opened it car and misunderstanding between me and Service agent, I was forced in some way to get it repaired at R11,200. This is an amount that you do not budget so it was tough to get it. I wanted also to sell it but it was not worth it selling at that time. It was okay after that but the love of the car was not the same as before. • Now we come to 2018 that on the 25th of February 2018 (10 months later from April issue) the car gets stuck luckily at home. Car was towed to Williams Hunt on the 27th February and up today I am still waiting to get feedback on the status. Was quoted another R11,000 without even the car being opened. I have not given a curiosity car in all the period and it’s costing me more than expected.
I have been with contact with Chevcustomercare team but I am not given any clear information or when they speak they keep changing their story. Is this how a customer is treated when they need your help? I am very disappointed that they cannot even call you back when they promise too. I am the one now following up on them. Is that fair? Where is the professional guy you promised me to come do a through review to check what is causing the regular clutch issue? I had a used Chevrolet Aveo brought in Williams Hunt in 2008 and I never had a problem with until after 6 years. A Brand new car giving a number of issues in less than 3 years is a problem for me.
I am at Williams Hunt as I sent this message and not going anyway until something happens today. #itstopshere.
