Pathetic Service

Received the worst service from Robert Stassen, Gareth O'Tool and Marvan Van Zyl

Wanted to purchase a Golf 7 R from their used cars. I was assured the vehicle was in good condition only a sunroof clip needed replacement and vehicle needed a valet.

Asked Robert when I can book my flights to collect the vehicle and he advised Wednesday. Arrived at the airport at 10am and I get a WhatsApp message that the vehicle is not ready. He tells me the vehicle is at Leather Tek to replace the sunroof clip or shade and that parts arrived late and he was not in yesterday etc.

I explain that now I am stranded at the airport and will need to hire a car. Anyway, now that i have the hired vehicle, I went to Leather Tek to check and inspect the vehicle only to find that the front bumper and fenders have been previously repaired and a poor repair job was done. Bumper was sprayed badly and blended into the fenders and fish eyes in the finish.

This could have been disclosed to me before booking flights from Johannesburg and accommodation. Spoke to both Robert and Gareth who were both very unhelpful as well as the dealer principle but made no difference discussing it with them.

Ended up cancelling the deal as vehicle was not as described and incurred flights, accommodation, car hire and return flight costs which added up to over R8000. Stay away from this dealership. Very unprofessional.

I have not received any communication from the dealer whatsoever since the incident and will be taking this matter further.
