Unpleasant service

On 24 May 2019 I shipped 4 boxes by UPS to South Africa (SA) from Switzerland because I was to relocate to SA on the 23rd of June 2019. Because some of the things I shipped included second hand clothing (because these are things I am going to use when I get home in SA) ITAC requested I apply for an export license before releasing the goods (this was not UPS’s issue) however after finding out that I will be relocating to SA ITAC said UPS can release my goods. UPS agreed to this but they later emailed me that the would release the goods if i show proof that I will indeed be arriving in SA and my flight ticket. I sent them proof that I have deregistered my Swiss Permit residence, my flight ticket and they then turned around to say that I can ONLY get my goods once i have LANDED and have a stamp from the Airport showing I have arrived. Indeed, I showed them the stamp as soon as I landed. It has now been THREE weeks and I still don’t have my goods that were shipped in May already. I would expect them to treat this matter urgently because I already paid for an express service and the goods were shipped over a month ago already. When I speak to their consultants there is no proper customer service, all ai am told is that it takes 7-14 working days to get my goods. Yesterday I emailed again seeing that It was 8 days since I enquired and the consultant simply copied and pasted the old email which states that “it takes 7-14 working days” BUT my question is HOW FAR ARE THEY WITH THE PROGRESS of retrieving my boxes. There is absolutely no sense of urgency and no assistance. All my winter clothes and important items are locked away and I have no communication whatsoever on where my goods are and when I can receive them. I think they could have done better especially because I have been using UPS consistently for months and I have actually had a problem with the South african service, everywhere else where I have used them; USA, Switzerland and France I got better service. Let’s train our ppl to do better.
