United Procrastination Services?

Tracking number 1Z1A1************9 . I purchased an item on Amazon for the first time and they Amazon decided to use UPS for the delivery. Yesterday I got notifications that the "package is arriving today" and another notification said package would arrive before 8pm. So I cancelled my plans yesterday and sat at home awaiting, at some point I got a notification there is a problem with delivery address, strange because that is the same address that other delivery companies use with no problem. I even got a call from someone who confirmed that address, however no package arrived. This morning I get another notification that the package will arrive today. So I decided to make direct to UPS to clear this up, I made 4 calls being told I need to speak to Customer Services I'm told "please hold the line" after 7 minutes line goes dead. First impressions are underwhelming to say the least, am I hoping UPS can turn it around and better my bitter experience thus far.
