Tracking does not show the actual movement of a package

I initially thought I would be able to post a compliment for UPS, unfortunately that is no longer the case. According to the tracking my parcel arrived at Kempton Park on 20 July. I then had correspondence with UPS and quickly got to pay the fees and get customs clearance. But, since the 24th there has been no movement of my parcel. I'm now told that "when you track online you only view exceptions and not the actual movement of the parcel" and that it is still in Dubai waiting for a flight to SA. 11 days and counting to wait for a flight to SA? Seems I won't be getting my parcel any day soon...
