thinking 2 steps ahead - thanks for the great service

I had a package coming into South Africa, Emmanuel Mgcina from UPS answered my call when enquiring about the invoice I need to pay to get my items released from customs, within an hour I received my email and made payment, I forwarded it to Emmanuel Mgcina as well. yesterday was a holiday so I did not expect any deliveries today, to my surprise I saw an email where Emmanuel Mgcina asked for the progress of my delivery (i did not even ask for a follow up) and a couple of minutes ago the 3rd party courier sent an email detailing when delivery to me will be. I find it really refreshing to get that extra amount of customer service, especially since I did not have to follow up, and beg for information, Emmanuel Mgcina went out of his way to think 2 steps ahead and put a smile on my mouth, because it has been a while since i have received such stellar service. just goes to show the smallest thing can have the biggest impact.
