More than a week and no more scans of a package stuck in the US

Paid more than double the cost of standard shipping in order to get priority shipping to avoid the postal office from *****ing it. Since an entire week ago no more scans have happened and no one is giving me an answer as it seems to be stuck in the US. It looks like it did not follow the usual route of UPS packages from AMAZON so it might have been ****** or lost but UPS is trying to string me along probably to avoid claim filing. Now I get the boiler plate response of "we are investigating" and have to wait up to two weeks to find out what happened. If I could I would use DHL from the US but our options are limited.
