GOB STRUCK AT UPS FINANCE DEPT
I am speechless! Once again UPS comes to the fore with their service quality. Unfortunatley our supplier chooses to use UPS, and whilst in the UK they function well, once your parcel hits SA it goes pear shaped. We were notified of an incoming parcel on 10/04 and UPS office requested payment for admin fees etc, which we paid on the 10/04. Now on the 17/04 - following up on this they say they have not rec'd payment. I then sent through, what all banks will issue when you make payment from your account - a payment interium report, or notice of payment- i.e. confirming that we have requested payment from our bank to UPS - for the invoice they raised. Clearly the monies would be in their account the following day 11/04. The ref # for the shipment is clearly stated on our document. Now they are saying that there finance dept is saying it is not Proof of Payment - never mind checking their account on the 11th for the payment!! I explained the proof of payment would be sitting on the bank report 11/04. It's like talking to the trees!!! No clue and this is the finance dept!!! The fact that this document has been sent to them to confirm intent of payment for the past 10 years does not matter!!! In the meantime my parcel sits in their hands!!! UPS SOUTH AFRICA WAKE UP AND TEACH YOUR STAFF ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND UNDERSTANDING DOCUMENT TERMINOLOGY!
