Delays
I import some automotive parts from the UK a couple of times a year and have to pay import duties and local VAT on it. UPS the courier pays in advance and requests the refund before sending the goods on to the Cape.
The moment the parcel get's on it's way overseas a tracking notice is issued and the goods are within 36 hours in South Africa.
I call UPS JHB to forward the invoice to my email address in order to make an EFT immediately and speed up delivery within South Africa. Time and again the instructions are taken and then ignored and the delivery is delayed unnecessarily.
36 hours from the supplier to Johannesburg and about a week from Johannesburg to George. This is about the efficiency of the SA Post!
