USELESS SERVICE

I am a second year PhD student. I app**** for a bursary and was told to register temporarily until a decision is made about granting the bursary. I was also informed that this would be finalized before the end of registration which in 31 March 2021. Today is the 30th of March and I have had absolutely no feedback despite calling over 30 times to relevant people and sending numerous emails. I was forced to pay my registration fees as I cannot speak to or get help from anyone at UNISA. THIS POOR SERVICE IS UNACCEPTABLE. Should I have continued to wait for the bursary department to inform me, I would not have been able to register for this year and my PhD degree would therefore take a entire 12 months longer to complete. One expects more from an institution like UNISA and particularly when one is at a doctorate level of study.
