UNISA RUNS A **** & *****S PEOPLE'S MONEY!

I wouldn't advise anyone to study with UNISA! They are ***********, ********* and only care about taking their student's money.

In 2018 I app**** to Unisa to do a Postgraduate Diploma in Education - Intermediate/Senior Phase (PGCE-Intersen phase). I was informed that I first had to complete 6 Non Degree Purpose modules (NDPs) before I could start the Intersen PGCE. Prior to starting the NDPs, there were several rumours that Unisa would be s****ping the Intesen PGCE course. I feared that I would be wasting my time if I started the NDP modules which would give me access to this course if it was going to be discontinued. I messaged Unisa and went into campus to enquire but I was assured that this was not the case. After I completed the NDPs, it turned out that the rumours were true and that Unisa ****, they discontinued both the Intersen and Foundation PGCE courses, which meant that I had completed the 6 NDPs (access course) for nothing. I paid more than R7000 for nothing.

I went into campus and complained and they refuse to take responsibility, they claim that it's not their fault that they had to discontinue the courses but the Department of Higher Education. They knew that they would have to discontinue these courses in 2019, why then did they advise people to register and pay for the NDPs (access course to the PGCE). They misled students and should've informed us that as from 2019, the Intersen and Foundation phases for PGCE would no longer be offered. I have emailed them in May already to complain but since then I have received no response. Unfortunately, many students have fallen prey to this **** as well. Student s who have completed and paid for NDPs which they can't do anything with!

PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME, MONEY FOR EFFORT WITH UNISA!
