UniSA misled me into waisting a year and now no refund.

Last year I enrolled for a teaching degree. UniSA Durban messed me around with advice if changes that didn't work. I waisted a year only for them to tell me I can no longer study with the institute for reasons that were created by themselves. It's their word against mine. To lay a complaint to the ombudsman I will be buried in paperwork for years. I gave up and requested my refund two months ago via email. I have gotten no response from the university other than an automated acknowledgement of my email. I have tried contacting the finance department twice. Somebody please help me.
