UNISA CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS

WORST SERVICE EVER!!!!! I shouldn't actually have ticked on 1 star rating, but had to do so to write the review.

I app**** on 3 Sept 2024 to study through unisa. I received no quote and their system generated quotation link didn't work properly and gave me a total of zero.

Only on 4 Feb 2025 did I get a letter confirming my successful application. I then received an email telling me I have to pay almost R7000 before 21 Feb 2025 for my registration to be finalised. Not having R7000 on 21 Feb 2025, as I only get paid on the 27th, I asked for other payment arrangements. No reply received, so I assumed my application would automatically be cancelled on 22 Feb 2025.

Out of the blue, on 17 March 2025, I received an email stating that unisa has not received the R7000 payment and asked if I will pay by 31 March 2025. - also asking why they didn't get the payment and if I still intend continuing with the registration.

I sent an email on 18 March 2025, to enquire@Unisa, myUnisaHelp, study-info@unisa and applications@unisa, complaining about the bad service and asking for answers to my questions.

On 28 March 2025 only did I received and email from Tebogo Mashalane informing me that I will be registered without the R7000 payment being made and the deadline for my response is 28 March 2025 (same day). I rep**** to the email (enquire@unisa), asking for more info on the payment arrangements and quote for the fees I need to pay going forward, as I've never dealt with this before and did not want to accept the offer without knowing what I am committing to. I also asked when the exams will be, as I've already lost so much time and that the above info would play a huge role in my accepting the terms offered.

I received no reply up till today (8 April 2025). This afternoon, I received an email from Maletsatsi Mabusela who, STILL NOT ANSWERING THE ABOVE QUESTIONS, informed me that the registration for 1st semester is closed. Period.... No answer to my questions, no help whatsoever.

Clearly no quality assessment by higher-ups like Dr. SA Mkuzangwe, who was mentioned in the 17 March email I received.

I wonder if Dr Mkuzangwe even does any quality assessment or follow-ups on customer queries and unisa's consultants who is clearly not fit to assist prospective clients, or who either supply half answers and ignore the most vital info, or give no help at all.

I would love to know how many applicants just "gave up" like I did, because of unisa's shockingly bad service. I should actually submit a claim against unisa and their unhelpful consultants, as they are depriving me of my basic right to education. I intend taking this much further.
