Unhelpful

I had to register for my final year subjects in Jan'17. I have been registered since 2010 and was excited to finish my final year. I tried registering online, but again they had changed the setup of my qualification. Which meant i had to go into Unisa to find out what subjects still need to be registered for to complete the diploma.

The first day i went, i had to take a day off at work, and low and behold after waiting 3 hours , get told the systems are offline. I had to then take another day off work go in, and after a lot of miscommunication i finally found where i was supposed to be. I had been waiting from 07h00 - 12h00 before someone eventually helped me. She went through my qualification, module for module, checked my credits and proceeded to register me for my final year subjects. I was tired, but happy that i could finally finish my diploma.

Now six months later in June 2017 after an email i sent in January 2017 gets answered to tell me that i actually have 2 more subjects to complete, one being a year module. Which would mean that i would have to study another full year. This is disheartening.

Now when i try to phone them, no one answers, i cannot take another day off work to go in for them to tell me something that is again INCORRECT. And they will not make special permission for me to complete the modules this year. At this point its not even about the money that was spent on studying there, or the countless amount of dissapointment that i have endured. Its about time. 7 years to study a 3 year diploma is a challenge on its own financially, and when i was finally at the finish line, not only do they want more of my money they want my time. I dont think it will be unfair of me to say that UNISA is a huge dissapointment when it comes to their service and unfortunately the people with good service is an exception.

Reviewer Update

After the review I posted, a lady from UNISA contacted me about the misunderstanding.

The issue has been resolved and we can finally move forward.
