Study elsewhere, Unisa is incapable of basic admin
Unisa have yet to audit my degree from last year, along with countless others of td he class of 2020.
Whilst the corona excuse initially held water, it has been 6 months, and the University still had the audacity to take in even more students.
I should have been half way through my honors year now, but alas, I am held hostage by the university's absolutely *********** administration department.
I have been beyond patient. But I am now emotionally debilitated and mentally fatigued.
I have been to the campus in durban, only to be told that the staff are not there, and have organized a shutdown.
Almost every listed number no longer exists.
And I wish, God above knows I wish that I was lying when I said this very issue caused a brief relapse into alcoholism.
This post serves as the start of what will be a sustained campaign on behalf of all 2020 graduates who are yet to receive their degrees.
I will use the media, both social and traditional to bring light to what is all but an injustice.
I cannot afford a wasted year, nor can anyone else for that matter.
We deserve better, we've paid our fees, we've got our marks. I got two Distinctions in my last semester, and passed my other modules really well.
For the University to even consider embarking on processing the midyear exams before auditing last year's degrees is ludicrous.
It is little wonder that a degree from this institution means little to nothing nowadays.
