Service? What service?

Despite the fact that most Unisa students are also full time workers, it does not seem to be of any concern to Unisa that the Learner Manuals, which are paid for in Tuituion fees, are not in stock or being printed.

I tried e-mails. No response

I tried multiple telephone numers. No response.

I tried visiting my local Unisa. What a dissappointment. To say the least.

UNISA in Potchefstroom, North West.

I went in during my lunch break from work as no one answers any phones. On my arrival the security guard at the front door expects me to "Sign In" but signals to do so( quite rudely, I might add) as she was too busy chatting away on her cell phone.

I get to the front desk, the lady there, with a smug and arrogant attitude tells me to come back with a CD or Flash drive to download the books. This I can do at home, I didnt come for soft copies, I came to find out WHY my books are yet to be sent as it is a service I am paying for. She looks at me with a grin on her face, "they are out of stock. I dont know why or when you will receive your books, but you will. BE PATIENT. "

Tell me how I should be patient, when we as students are paying THOUSANDS of rands for services that we do not receive?? Their online web portal is also going through more downtime than WORKTIME of late.

What are people like myself to do, when we have no option of educating ourselves than UNISA but they themselves are as bad and ******* as our government!
