Pathetic service

I am a final year B-eD (senior and FET) student.

Last year would’ve been my final year but UNISA said that my credits for the modules I've completed through UJ was outdated. Never the less, I had to complete 5 more modules in order to complete my degree. UNISA advised that I should do any 5 modules within the recommended modules in order to gain credits to complete this degree.

I chose my modules, registered and paid UNISA.
Once my registration was successful, I viewed my study material and realised that CLO1501 required a textbook that costed R1200.00 to purchase of which I could not afford. I therefore contacted UNISA again to ask if I could change the module. The lady assisting said that I should deregister for CLO1501 and then reregister for another module on my portal of which I’ve done.

On the 28th Feb, I seen that my registration was unsuccessful and therefore made a plan to get the textbook for CLO1501 to complete the assignments and continue with this module.

Please note that I visit my portal at least once a day every day. On the 2nd Mar, I went online to submit my assignment 1 for CLO1501 and realised that I have been deregistered , however I was not registered for the additional module.

After my deregistration, I've contacted the lecturer, sent several emails to different unisa addresses & even tried calling various numbers but got no response!

It is so pathetic to think that UNISA is such an established institution yet they playing with people's future!
