Onwards and Upward

This is my story. UNISA like any institution is imperfect, run by humans and susceptible to glitches, mistakes and human error. In spite of all the negative comments and talk going around about this instution, I want to commend UNISA for the brilliant service that I experienced this week.

I went to UNISA Cape Town's head quarters in Parow on Wednesday to change my postal address, change a major, change examination centres and sort out my modules. I was met by friendly and effiecient staff and it didn't take me longer than 10 minutes to sit in front of someone who was able to assist me. It was a painless experience and the lady who helped me even registered me for the upcoming semester.

Low and behold, Friday morning (1 and a half day later) a courier dropped my study pack at my front door (and I live in a rural town). I was stunned and really impressed.

Fellow students, let's remember that UNISA is the institution serving our special long distance needs and suiting our abnormal schedules and studying requirements. A little patience, a little grace and a postive word goes a far way. They're helping us reach our dreams and finish our education in the process.

5 stars UNISA!
