Hopeful

I had a late calling in life (47) to become a primary school teacher. After attending night school for 7 months to obtain my matric certificate, friends and family coached me to apply at unisa as they were internationally recognised. I resigned from work (managerial position) and started voluntary work at a Primary School with the intent of becoming permanent (which I did). I am currently helping admin/assisting teachers at Kannemeyer Primary School and am very grateful for this chance /opportunity. Becoming a teacher is definitely my dream job! According to unisa's brochure, you do not need matric if over the age of 45 to study b.ed foundation phase. Matric in hand, I app****, paid my R100 admission fee but was sadly declined because according to them I did not meet admission requirements. Dec 21st I went back to find out why. After spending half of my day waiting, I was assured that they would get back to me once in full swing. I am still waiting. I will be going back in next week to find out why and what is the next step. Hopefully this time I will get more joy and can maybe finally get the ball rolling
