Hello UNISA? Yes - I would like to receive the service I've paid for, please.

Having been warned about your abysmal service by just about anyone who could find a willing listener, I registered and paid for my course with just the slightest bit of apprehension.

Imagine my surprise when you failed to deliver even the most basic of services which you have been paid for. Surely stapling together a couple of pages for modules (which have, by your own admission, not been updated since 2015) and having a courier deliver it to my address is a task that my registration fee of R5000.00 warrants? I simply cannot imagine what wonders the balance of my fees will bring in the form of an offline website ("we are moving modules online to provide easier access"), assignments and study units not uploaded, study material missing pages, missing lecturers, study material not delivered etc. etc. etc.

**** - I can honestly say I have never been enough of a dope to pay this much money for this level of incompetence.
Since I can't get to studying the material I was promised..let's study the logs from the courier that we were recommended to use - post office strikes and all apparently.

10 Jan 2017 11:10 Loaded into vehicle UNISA
10 Jan 2017 11:22 Dispatched To JOHANNESBURG
11 Jan 2017 00:31 Dispatched To CAPE TOWN
12 Jan 2017 01:07 Received in CAPE TOWN
12 Jan 2017 08:44 Received in CAPE TOWN
12 Jan 2017 18:57 Waybill Returned: Consignee not avail
16 Jan 2017 19:48 Waybill Returned: Driver late
17 Jan 2017 12:55 Dispatched for Delivery CAPE TOWN
17 Jan 2017 18:39 Waybill Returned: Bad address
17 Jan 2017 18:39 Return to Station CAPE TOWN

I thus bring your attention to the following dates:

12 Jan - You state the consignee was not available. When contacting your courier I was told that nobody was home. As a matter of fact, somebody was home all day long and unfortunately for you our access system works with a phone call to the resident. Yup..you guessed it: no phone calls/missed call/voicemails whatsoever.
16 Jan - Driver Late. So what you are telling me is that either you made no effort on 13 Jan to deliver my package and the driver was late on Mon 16 Jan, or that the driver was late on Friday 13 Jan and you made no effort to make alternative arrangements. Consequently this fault was only addressed at 8pm the following Monday.
17 Jan - Waybill returned: Bad address. Very interesting, considering I received a delivery from UNISA on this very day. Even more interesting that the courier would phone me for directions to my house as they didn't know how to get here. Now..didn't you just say on 12 Jan that nobody was home. Amazing that you know that, since you have no idea where I live. And isn't it also astounding how you could state that my address is bad several hours after delivering my package to me? Dont even get me started on how this package contains around 20% of the physical material that I require - and have paid for - from UNISA.

By the way UNISA, the prescribed textbooks I ordered from Takealot arrived within 48 hours of payment. Gotta love the education sector that expects us to be complacent enough to accept a complete lack of service delivery. Internationally recognized my ass. But don't you dare miss a deadline on your side. Your payments must be made on this date and in this manner and with this form and to this person and your assignments in this manner and by this date and my little box can't be thought outside of...

Thanks for staring off my studies with this amount of stress and dissatisfaction. For those of us left with no other option than distance learning - it truly sets a fantastic mood and makes the outlook for the year reaaaall good.
