Graduation refused after completing qualification
To anyone thinking of signing up with UNISA...RUN A MILE! I would discourage anyone from going through UNISA - it is an absolute dog show.
In Jan 2017, I registered with UNISA to complete a PGCE qualification. My prerequisites for the required modules were queried and then approved. I then registered, completed the course, paid for and passed all modules required by Dec 2017. All seemed to be going well - or so I thought!!
I should have graduated in April 2018, but I heard nothing from UNISA so I queried. I was told that my prerequisites were incorrect from the very beginning and therefore could not graduate. I was advised to take further modules, but by this stage I had neither the budget nor the time and was still unemployable in the education industry.
It is now Feb 2019 and I still have no answers from UNISA as they pass the buck from one person and one department to the next. Apparently, my query is sitting with the Department of Education who have completely ignored my queries. UNISA nor the Department will get back to me. And it is impossible to get them on the phone - they simply DO NOT ANSWER. There is no accountability.
I urge you to find a different university or a different avenue to reach your aspirations. DO NOT put your future in UNISA's hands.
