Frustration

I have had continual struggles and have now been failing to succesfully register for 3 semesters. This is extremely frustrating as I only need 3 modules to complete my degeree.

In early 2015 I missed the application period to study 2nd semester due to a misunderstanding of dates of application and registration processes whilst enquiring at the Bloemfontein UNISA branch.

I then did a succesful application in August 2015, but at the end of last year Unisa's system was close to crashing and I had waited till February 2016 for an acceptance email that I was supposed to have received in November 2015. I later saw that they rep**** in March 2016(with the semester already in full swing) , but by this time I stopped checking for a response. During the period of December to February I went to the Bloemfontein office 6 or 7 times with no result in solving the issue or about the progress of my application.

I then went to the same office twice during May to find out if I can register for the 2nd semester. I had been told I have been accepted and I need not worry: I only have to come to the Unisa office register the 6th of June.

When I went there on the date, I was told there was a problem with my confirmation and that I had to confirm via email that I wanted to study before I could register (however I had had to have done this via email in May). I was not told this and I did not keep an eye on my email; partly due to poor punctuality in correspondence previously; secondly the need to, was not communicated to me face to face in the same month that I needed to do this. The registrations close the 20th of June, but I have now been told that I can no longer register for this year and that I will have to start this nightmare of process all over again in August for 2017.

I feel that due to past issues and problems that they can help me to indeed register, and pathetic to have start the process again next year.

I only need 3 modules to get my degree through UFS, I feel so close and yet so helplessly far for completing my degree.
