Concerned Sponsor

If you are intending to do a B.Sc maths or B.ed FET - maths with Unisa, then good luck! The Maths Dept at Unisa has so far been one of the useless departments I've ever seen, where a bunch of students are failing to finish their degrees just because of MAT2611(Linear Algebra II) and a Topologist who changed Linear Algebra 2 to Linear Algebra 4, and claim that MAT2611 is a direct continuation from MAT1503. *******! This Indian guy can see that there is a gap of content between the two modules ever since he changed MAT2611 in 2018, it's a problem for him to let students learn algebra bit by bit.

There was a time when my beneficiaries consulted the lecturer, and what he told them is that they should've only registered MAT2611 that semester. The problem with this is, we sponsor these students. They need to register as many as allowed modules per semester so that they can go change their lives. The next question is, did Unisa employ this particular lecturer as to minimize the number of graduates from Mathematics Department? I thought as much...!

Teaching students and MAT2611. I personally don't think Bed Curriculum at Unisa make sense. It's so ridiculous to expert teaching students to master MAT2611 (which is technically MAT4611 from 2018), because they won't use the content in their classrooms. On the other hand, they removed MAT2612 from the curriculum, which is applicable in the classroom. The worst, they don't offer any Statistics module for their Maths-teaching students. So B.Ed students must continue to fail and be expelled because of MAT2611, which they won't use, while they are not being prepared to teach Statistics. Anyway, good luck!
