Cheats, ******* and ********** in Faculty: So what?

Some of us students have to work very hard to afford to pay for our studies at UNISA. We have to sacrifice our free time and slave away at night and over weekends while our friends are partying the nights away, just to pass modules so we can hopefully move up the career ladder and earn a little bit more money.

We share our contact information with UNISA because it is mandatory to do so, but some faculty members have taken it upon themselves to not only abuse their access to our personal information but also to leak Exam information and provide ******** with completed assignments and such information at a fee.

You would think that a case like this would receive more attention if you blew the whistle, followed all the processes and reported this to UNISA, but instead, this is just another path in the wonderful and mystical land of UNISA, that leads to nowhere.

The whistle-blower mail address provided by the University doesn’t actually exist, and you can forget about receiving any valuable feedback that actually proves that the matter is being attended to from the lecturers.

I have done my own investigations, but I honestly do not have the time or resources to do someone else’s job and find the responsible parties.

You owe it to us to protect our personal information. If our contact details could so easily get lost, how safe is our financial (credit card) details? What about the integrity you like to boast about during your various meetings and events? I for one would like that word removed from all your documentation. It’s false. Integrity is something that requires constant effort and you have proved that this is not something on your list of priorities.

I don’t expect a response to this post. You won’t even answer my e-mails or answer my calls.. so what is a HelloPeter post. It’s Marketing UNISA. I am marketing your serious lack of responsibility, your unwillingness to provide student support and spreading the word about your unattended security breaches.

Just remember; we are the many. One incident may not mean anything to you, but we are getting fed up with your poor service. The day will come when you will regret not listening and taking action.
