EXTREMELY disappointed with our XPod caravan
We are EXTREMELY disappointed with our XPod caravan. We paid a lot of money for what was supposed to be a brand new caravan, but the workmanship is very poor. After only two weeks, we have discovered numerous issues. We took it out camping this past weekend and the battery lasted just two days and didn’t charge, water leaked through the roof in the rain, dust gets in through poorly sealed doors, and the wooden floors and inside of the caravan have glue and scratch marks. The fridge sliders are too short so you struggle to open the fridge door. It’s hard to understand how something could be installed so poorly and still be considered acceptable. Doors and panels don’t align, and it clearly does not look brand new. We specifically requested a galvanized chassis because we live at the coast, but this also was not done. We contacted the owners/builders to request a refund due to the many defects, but they said they don't have the money to refund us, and offered to try to resell the caravan on our behalf. This is unfair to us who paid for a brand new product, and besides, who is going to purchase a caravan with these many defects? We have now involved the Ombudsman for assistance as we feel extremely let down.
