Netcare Union Hospital Cardiac ICU

I would give 0 rating. I would like to bring the attention to the treatment of patients in the Cardiac ICU ward at Netcare Union Hospital, it is the worst I have ever seen. Something has to be done about it for the sake of other patients too, an audit and training really needs to be done. The first incident was the second night my dad was there at night he asked for assistance to go to the toilet and no one helped him they were all fast asleep so he tried to get up and barely got out of the bed and then peed himself, the nurses were upset with him for doing that and also didnt change him, he had to sleep with wet pants, it is humiliating. When I went to visit I had my sister on the phone as I wanted her to listen to what the dr says the head nurse of the unit shouted at me to say i must put the phone off because I am recording. Very rude and most are not compassionate with no duty of care. Once he was done with his op, bypass a few days later, the nurse pulled him up abruptly and he suffered pain from that. Told him to wash himself and he didnt even know where to wash or not because he had a massive op, he cant even walk properly, for a private hospital I am disgusted and filled with anxiety and frustration, we are already worried about him, but still have to worry about the care his getting inside the ICU by the people that carry his life their hands.
