a club run by ************ individuals who did not give us what was owed

Our club sports team were paying members of this club for 4 years. over the years, the field space that was allocated to us diminished as more soccer teams joined (soccer always gets priority). this year we were squeezed to the narrow strip of grass behind the soccer fields even though we pay to use the fields. and we had nasty exchanges with soccer players who would verbally harass our players and obstruct space when we were trying to play matches. all this contributed to our decision to leave as it was a hostile environment and we were not given the space we needed to grow. unfortunately we did not have anything in writing and we were told we were not members but merely renters even though our payment receipts stated members. we gave one months notice upon our decision to leave and asked to the committee to give us half the years fees back (we left at the end of june and the membership is for a full calendar year). the committee denied giving our money back and we were not allowed to appeal directly to the committee. they owe us R2400.
