Omo Auto damaged brand new top

My husband bought me a top. wore it once and had a few marks on it. I always use Omo Auto. Took some powder and made a paste. put the paste on and left for a few minutes. The power actually made faded stains on my brand new top. Can't wear it anymore. Contact customer service at Unilever SA and the kept on telling me that their product will never damage. So what the he'll happened to my top. a BRAND NEW TOP. I love this product but I'm so incredibly disappointed in how they reacted to my problem.
