if I wanted sand I would go to the beach
Over the December period Makro was having a delightful offer 2 x 2l Ola ice-cream for the amazing price of 70 rondela.<br> I decided to go for my old faithful vanilla and be a bit adventurous with the malva pudding. Surface to say either one of 2 things went wrong and both of them lead back to unileaver/ola.<br> While the vanilla was smooth and creamy and a delight to eat, the malva pudding flavour was grainy and crunchy much like there were sand particles in my ice cream ? the ice cream also had lumpy bits (they MAY be part of the desert but a HUGE fail in my eyes) the lumpy bits felt doughy like some threw raw malva pudding batter in the ice cream and froze it all together.<br> So either the ice cream is **** full stop, OR the batch they supp**** makro was seriously subpar. IF this is the case SHAME ON YOU unileaver/ola I'm not your guinea *** to sell **** product to. And it's because of THAT reason I happily tossed your ice cream and spent the full amount on a tub of nestle/country fresh. They don't disrespect my heard earned money by supplying me with sand in my ice cream.<br>

The fact that the ice cream was sandy would suggest that the product had been heatshocked. This happens when the product is not maintained at the correct temperature, melts and is refrozen. Under these conditions the quality of the product deteriorates. Unfortunately Ola has little control over the cold chain once products are delivered to the store. It is our experience that from time to time the store freezers do not maintain the products at the correct temperature, which could account for the heatshock. I have forwarded your complaint to our field marketer to check fridges at Makro Strubenvalley. Thank you for your valuable feedback.
