Company does not act in good faith, it is not in compliance with the NCA as well as the customers consumers act, oh they also lie!
On the 29th of October 2024, I requested a settlement letter from the institution to settle the loan account ending in 7778.The settlement amount as of the 29th of October was R 1179.44 and I paid R 1180 which was allocated to account 5049 and not 7778. After making a payment on the 29th of October 2024 I sent proof of payment to ***it in the body of the email, I had requested that they allocate payment to 7778 and provide my ID Number as well. On the 5th of October 2024 I went back into the app and realized that they had not yet allocated payment to the correct account, I again forwarded my proof of payment and the settlement quote and requested that they allocate the payment to the correct account to settle and close the account, which UNIFI failed to do so. on the 9th of October I went into the app and went into each loan account to find out how much it would be to settle my loans, so I went into each account and requested a settlement amount as of the 9th of November, the app generated an amount. I added all the amounts and purposefully excluded the loan that ended in 7778 as a settlement has already been paid to that loan, however the company had failed to allocate payment to the correct account. I then made a payment of R 13164 as per the information that was reflecting on the app at the time, according to the information provided on the app all my loans should have been settled. On Monday I went into the app to see if all was in order, to my dismay there was a loan with an outstanding amount. I contacted the company and I was advised that the R 1180 was allocated to the account however they failed to mention was that the payment was allocated to account 5049 as of the 29th and not 7778 to settle as a result. The outstanding balance for the account 5049 was incorrect because the R 1180 was allocated to that account which reduced the outstanding balance and the settlement on the 9th was incorrect because the company refused to allocate payment to the account, I am now sitting with an outstanding loan on account 3653 when it actually should be account 5049 because of an internal error. I spoke to a team leader yesterday and asked why payment was not allocated to the correct account, after communication was sent to them three times to allocate payment to the correct account and I was advised that payment was allocated by the system and not manually by finance and I asked why they didn't fix it because communication was sent on the 29th and the 5 of November, I am still yet to get a clear answer in regards to that. I honestly feel ****med by the company, I as a client have acted in good faith, I made sure that I've settled my account prior to the loan settlement term, and I am being disadvantaged by the company because of someone's incompetence. If the R 1180 was allocated to the correct account on the 29th October, the account 5049 would have projected the correct settlement amount and I would not be having this issue. May someone please explain to me why I am paying for an internal error without telling me that it is a system error because I had communicated multiple times for the company to fix the error and they failed to do so. This issue was created due to an internal problem, and I am not paying for it, but I am forced to.
