POOR QUALITY and PATHETIC CUSTOMER SERVICE

Kindly note on the 30th December 2022, there was an Under Armour Golf shoe (22R Medal RST WHT size 10 – ***-44) priced R2299.99 I was very interested in purchasing at the Pro Shop N1 City for my friend as a birthday gift. There was no stock and I paid for the shoe and collected the shoe they sourced from another branch for me in January once it has arrived.

I then gave it to my friend could be 3 months later when I saw him as he travels a lot and the shoe was a perfect fit. He wears this shoe more or less twice a month at most since he plays golf biweekly which is every Sunday and bearing in mind he has several other pairs that he alternates with, so it is not to say he only wears the one pair consistently. I have now been for the past 2 months lets call it that in and out of the Pro Shop trying to reach some resolution and finally met someone who is willing to assist and advised they can send the shoe to your establishment for assessment etc. and I am at such a point of frustration, I honestly want to try to resolve this myself since more and more time is getting wasting by up and down. I think all my phone calls and petrol surmounted to twice the shoe price which is so unfortunate since we are so loyal to the Under Armour brand and have every item in golf and gym apparel possible. I was requested to get the tax invoice which I also retrieved and by NO means want any cash back and I think this is the part that is lacking and understanding of the consultants in store too.

If you place yourself in my shoes, It is exceptionally embarrassing purchasing a gift that last 12 months (Not even considering the use of the items) and someone calls you for a receipt due to the shoe cracking and breaking all around and had soaking wet feet when it rained and he realized the whole one side of the shoe is torn open. I have attached the photographs and tax invoice for ease of reference. The other sad part is people in store are not competent and confident with their return policy one is telling me a year, one is telling me “oh it all depends on the item” This transaction could have been concluded months ago but it has been a headache of note and up and down never ending saga. I have a family who enjoys a good marathon and comrades and only believes in the UA brand, I am at a point where I am so willing and ready to share my story of this crazy run around and persuade them not to purchase any item of this brand at all. The UA apparel surely doesn’t come cheap as well.

I have also been calling your option 3 – head office on *** and left messages and no-one ever returned my call. This is really bad customer service indeed. Finally this morning Siphokazi has referred to me the Customer Care Call and a very helpful lady by the name of Laeekah has answered and gave me some hope and assurance for me to send my email and a possible hope for trusting your brand again. So thank you Laeekah for taking time to listen to my annoyance and frustration, much appreciated.

Kindly see the attached photographs. See evidence on one day how many calls I made to your head office and on the 9th call finally somewhat a response.After several levels of communication with Maryam up and down I feel it was said we will not be compensated and as I stipulated the ask was never for cash back just a replacement of a very poor quality shoes that are worn so rarely.Be rest assured I will tell my entire fitness club,all family,friends and colleagues about the poor quality and pathetic service rendered indeed!Every person and circle I touch which is pretty huge will know all about your brand and I will surely influence and persuade to seek other brands such as Nike,Adidas,Puma etc.

I look very forward to hearing from you at soonest to conclude this situation that is now unending.
