Stay clear of this place!!!

My mom has been in this so called old age home/ care center for two months. At first you get the impression that Ronel and her staff are really caring, compassionate people. Rude awakening!!! I had to take my mom out of that place after realizing what really happens there. The owner shouted and screamed at my mom, who is 72 years of age, and belittled her in front of everyone. No nutritional food. The bread they serve to the old people are moldy. This place receive donations from various sponsors, you can have a look at their Facebook page. They always give heartfelt thanks for all the support, but these donations / sponsorships NEVER gets to the people that it's intended for. The houses are stocked to the brim with beds, with only 1 toilet and one shower. The "caregivers" will at more than one occasion shower the people with cold water. If asked if they can get warm water, they get told that they can then help themselves to shower and get dressed. Should a place like this not employ people who has a passion for working with the elderly? Or is it only to earn a paycheck? The people get yelled at for not attending church on Sundays, even when sick in bed. Don't even bother to ask for assistance after hours, not even in an emergency. You will be told not to disturb their sleep. I am really shocked at the hygiene of the kitchen, and the overall state of the men's living space. From personal experience, I will not recommend this place to anyone. They attract people who only receive a monthly SASSA payment. Please consider all other options. Elderly people crying because they don't know what the next day might bring. Constant threats that they will be evicted, that they will not receive food. Utterly disgraceful place.
